The Attitudes of Czech People towards People of Other Ethnicities or Races on the Basis of Their Education

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zjišťuje postoje Čechů vůči lidem jiného etnika či rasy na základě jejich vzdělání. Teoretická část práce shrnuje základní pojmy týkající se národností, etnik, ras, postojů, stereotypů a v neposlední řadě multikulturní výchovu ve vzdělávání. Praktická část je zaměřena na kvantitativní výzkum, který obsahuje výsledky dotazníkového šetření a interpretaci získaných dat. V závěru bakalářské práce jsou zodpovězeny výzkumné otázky, dále je zjištěno, zda byly naplněny výzkumné cíle a ověřeny hypotézy, které vypovídají o tom, zda existuje souvislost mezi úrovní dosaženého vzdělání a postoji Čechů vůči lidem jiného etnika či rasy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the attitudes of Czechs towards people of other ethnicities or races on the basis of their education. The theoretical part summarises basic terms related to nationalities, ethnicities, races, attitudes, stereotypes and, last but not least, multicultural education in schools. The practical part of the thesis uses quantitative research methods, provides the results of a survey and interprets the obtained data. The conclusion answers the research questions and determines whether the research objectives have been met and the hypotheses about the connection between the achieved level of education and Czech people's attitudes towards members of other ethnicities and races verified.
