The aim of this thesis is to analyse the Concert for Bangladesh as a cultural phenomenon. The first part of the thesis is concerned with the country of Bangladesh and the events and conflicts which led to its independence. Cílem této bakalářské práce je analyzovat Koncert pro Bangladéš jako kulturní fenomén. Předmětem první části je Bangladéš a také události a konflikty, které vedly k samostatnosti této země. Druhá část se zabývá počátkem, plánováním a realizací Koncertu.
