The Project to Support Improvement of Financial Literacy Among High School Students

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je finanční gramotnost středoškolských studentů. Cílem práce je porovnat to, co by studenti měli umět dle standardů finančního vzdělávání a jaká je skutečná úroveň jejich znalostí v oblasti finančního vzdělávání. Práce je rozdělena na šest kapitol. V první a druhé kapitole je popsána teorie k projektovému managementu a vysvětlení základní pojmů finanční gramotnosti. Praktická část obsahuje vymezení projektu včetně jeho logického rámce, specifikaci osnov finančního vzdělávání na středních školách, metodiku empirického šetření a jeho vyhodnocení a závěrečné doporučení pro zlepšení úrovně finanční gramotnosti. Dle zjištěných výsledků z empirického šetření, které ukazují na nedostačující schopnosti žáků využít teoretické znalosti finančního vzdělávání v praxi, jsem v rámci šesté kapitoly popsala možnosti pokračování projektu.

Abstract:

The scope of this bachelor's thesis is financial literacy among high school students. The goal of this thesis is to compare what the student should have know by the standards of financial literacy and how deep their knowledge in the field of financial education really is. The thesis contains six chapter. In the first two chapters there is described the theoretical part of project management and explanation of key words in financial literacy. The practical part of this thesis contains demarcation of the project including logframe, specification of financial education curriculum in high schools, methods of survey and their evaluation, and as the last recommendation for improvement in the financial knowledge. Based on the analyzed results of the survey that point out insufficient ability of student to use theoretical knowledge of financial education in practical situation. I propose possible solution for project continuation in chapter six.
