This thesis is focused on genetic algorithms. Genetic algorithms belong among optimization methods used for discrete event simulation optimization. The main part of this thesis is focused on the description of all parts of the genetic algorithm. At the end of this thesis is shown a solution of traveling salesman problem by genetic algorithm.
