Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá obraz Československa v deníku Daily Mirror v době Československé krize 1938. Analýza pracuje s korpusem 219 článků z období mezi 17. únorem a 5. říjnem 1938 a ukazuje jak podpora silné britské mezinárodní politiky v Daily Mirror příznivě ovlivnila pohled na československou stranu konfliktu.
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis examines the portrayal of Czechoslovakia in the Daily Mirror during the Czechoslovak Crisis of 1938. The analysis works with a corpus of 219 articles from the period between the 17th of February and the 5th of October 1938. The thesis shows how the Daily Mirror’s promotion of a firm British international policy translates into a favourable attitude towards the Czechoslovak side …more
