Protection of whisleblowers in EU law

Anotace:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá jedním z problémů současnosti, kterým je korupce a současný stav problematiky ochrany whistleblowerů v České republice a legislastivy EU. Práce charakterizuje základní pojmy, jako je whistleblowing a whistleblower. Dále v práci najdeme charakteristiku korupce, její druhy a formy. Najdeme zde také kapitolu, která se věnuje organizaci Transparency International a tomu, čím se tato organizace zabývá, jak pomáhají oznamovatelům a jaké jsou její hlavní cíle. Veškeré informace jsou čerpány z odborné literatury a právních norem a je provedena sekundární analýza textu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis addresses one of the present-day problems – corruption, and the current state of whistle-blower protection in the Czech Republic and in related EU legislation. The thesis describes basic concepts such as whistleblowing and whistle-blower. Furthermore, of the thesis provides the characterization of corruption, its types and forms. The thesis also focuses on the activities of Transparency International – what they are, what are the main goals and how they help whistle-blowers. The sources of information used are legislation and professional literature.
