Increasing competences of persons at risk of social exclusion as prevention of social exclusion based on the example of a selected organisation in the Ústí Region

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá možnostmi zvyšování kompetencí osob s duševním onemocněním, které jsou v důsledku své nemoci ohroženy sociálním vyloučením. Tvoří ji teoretická a empirická část. Teoretická část se skládá ze tří kapitol. První kapitola pojednává o duševních onemocněních, na které je bakalářská práce zaměřena, jejich umístění v Mezinárodní klasifikaci nemocí. Druhá kapitola rozebírá proces individuálního plánování průběhu sociálních služeb jako jednu z metod zvyšování kompetencí osob s duševním onemocněním a uvádí příklady individuálních plánů. Třetí kapitola seznamuje se sociálními službami působícími na území Ústeckého kraje, které se zaměřují na práci s osobami s chronickým duševním onemocněním. V empirické části je stanoven výzkumný problém a výzkumný cíl a metody výzkumu. Metody jsou jak kvantitativní ve formě dotazníku, tak kvalitativní ve formě hloubkového rozhovoru s uživateli sociálních služeb. Poukazují zejména na možné bariéry při zvyšování kompetencí z hlediska pracovníků v sociálních službách, tak i uživatelů sociálních služeb. V závěru práce je provedeno vyhodnocení výzkumné části a interpretace získaných dat. Diskuze je zaměřena na doporučení pro praxi při práci s osobami s duševním onemocněním.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is concerned with possibilities of increasing the competences of persons with mental illness who are at risk of social exclusion as a result of their disorder. It consists of theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part comprises three chapters. The first chapter deals with mental disorders which the bachelor's thesis addresses, and their location in the International Classification of Diseases. The second chapter analyses the process of individual planning of the course of social services as one of methods to increase the competences of persons with a mental disorder, and gives examples of individual plans. The third chapter informs about the social services provided in the territory of the Ústí nad Labem Region that specialise in working with persons with chronic mental illness. The research problem and research objective and methods of research are set forth in the empiric part. The methods are both quantitative in the form a questionnaire and qualitative in the form of an in-depth interview with users of social services. In particular, they point to possible barriers to increasing competences from the point of view of both workers in social services and users thereof. The conclusion of the thesis presents an evaluation of the research part and an interpretation of the data acquired. The discussion focuses on recommendations for practice in working with persons with a mental disorder.
