Cardiopulmonary resuscitation as part of nursing care for children

Abstract:

U dětí se za nejčastější příčinu selhání základních životních funkcí považuje dušení, jež může snadno vyústit v náhlou zástavu oběhu, která je velmi úzce spjata s poskytováním kardiopulmonální resuscitace. Předložená bakalářská práce mapuje téma kardiopulmonální resuscitace u dětí v kontextu nemocniční ošetřovatelské péče. Zjišťuje problematiku, specifika poskytování resuscitační péče u dětí a současnou situaci v oblasti kardiopulmonální resuscitace. Teoretická část se zabývá nejprve obecným úvodem do problematiky poskytování kardiopulmonální resuscitace, poté se již zabývá konkrétní cílovou skupinou teoretické části práce, dětskými hospitalizovanými pacienty. Vymezuje dětský věk a dále popisuje již samotný proces provádění kardiopulmonální resuscitace u dětského pacienta jakéhokoliv věku s uvedením prioritních úkonů při resuscitaci. Dále se zaměřuje na ošetřovatelskou část, kde je uvedena práce a povinnosti personálu při poskytování resuscitační péče, problematika zákonných zástupců či edukace zdravotnického personálu a popisuje týmovou práci v nemocničním zařízení. Praktická část této práce je zaměřena na problematiku poskytování kardiopulmonální resuscitace v praxi. Hlavním cílem je přispět k řešení problematiky, která z ní vychází. Seznamuje i se stanovenými dílčími cíli práce, popisuje sběr a způsob, jakým se získaná data vyhodnocují, či seznamuje s volbou respondentů. Na šetření realizované pomocí anonymních dotazníků se podílejí vybraná dětská oddělení Masarykovy nemocnice v Ústí nad Labem. Doporučení pro liniový management dětských stanic, či dle zjištěných informací o vzdělávání a proškolování v oblasti kardiopulmonální resuscitace i pro vrcholový management Masarykovy nemocnice je pak finálním výstupem této práce.

Abstract:

In children the most common cause of failure of vital functions is considered asphyxia, which can easily result in the sudden arrest of the circulation, which is very closely associated with the provision of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This bachelor thesis presents the topic of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in children in the context of hospital nursing care. it examines the issues, the specifics of providing resuscitation care in children and the current situation in the field of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The theoretical part deals first with a general introduction to the issue of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, then it deals with the specific aim of a group of theoretical parts of work, children hospitalized patients. It defines the child's age and further describes the process of implementation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the pediatric patient of any age with an indication of the priority tasks during resuscitation. It then focuses on the nursing part, where is shown the work and responsibilities of staff in the provision of resuscitation care, the issue of the child's parents or the education of the medical staff and describes teamwork in a hospital institution. The practical part of this work is focused on the issue of the provision of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in practice. The main aim is to contribute to the solving of the issue, which comes out of it. It introduces with the established sub-goals of the work, describes the collection and the way the data obtained is evaluated or introduces with the choice of the respondents. The selected children's departments of Masaryk Hospital in Ústí nad Labem are involved in the survey conducted using anonymous questionnaires. The output of this work will be recommendations for line management of children's departments or according to the detected information about education and training in the field of cardiopulmonary resuscitation it also will be for the top management of the Masaryk's hospital.
