European stocks indexes

Abstract:

The aim of my Bachelor thesis is approaching the issue of European stock indexes during the current financial crisis now. I write about the three main European indexes, which are the DAX 30, FTSE 100 and CAC 40. In the first chapter, there is a theory of stock indexes, beginning with the characteristics of the stock , the stock market and economic impact on stock markets, ending with a stock index. The second charter is teory the main German stock index DAX 30. I am writing on its composition, history and sectors representation. Ongoing description of the banking sector. The third chapter is the theory of the main British stock index FTSE 100. I am writing on its composition, history and sectors representation. Description of the banking sector continues. The fourth chapter is the theory of the main French stock index – CAC 40.I write the rules of composition, history and sectors representation. Description of the banking sector continues. The fifth chapter describes the development of major European stock indexes during the current financial crisis now. It describes the response to the published indexes of the American administration and the national economies of the United Kingdom, Germany and France. I write also of the impact of the banking sector. It also describes the response of the individual indices of government measures such as economic and banking rescue packages, or reducing interest rates by central banks.

Abstract:

Cieľom mojej bakalárskej práce je priblížiť problematiku vývoja európskych akciových indexov počas teraz prebiehajúcej finančnej krízy. Píšem o troch najdôležitejších európskych indexov, ktorými sú DAX 30, FTSE 100 a CAC 40. V prvej kapitole sa venujem teórii akciových indexov, začínajúc charakteristikou akcie, akciového trhu a ekonomickými vplyvmi na akciové trhy, končiac akciovým indexom. Druhá kapitola je teória hlavného nemeckého akciového indexu DAX 30. Píšem o jeho zložení, histórii a sektorovom zastúpení. Pokračujem popisom bankového sektora. Tretia kapitola je teória o hlavnom britskom akciovom indexe FTSE 100. Píšem o jeho zložení, histórii a sektovom zastúpení, Pokračuje popis bankového sektora. Štvrtá kapitola je teória o hlavnom francúzskom akciovom indexe – CAC 40. Píšem o pravidlách jeho zloženia, histórii a sektorovom zastúpení. Pokračuje popis bankového sektora. V piatej kapitole je popísaný vývoj hlavných európskych akciových indexov počas teraz prebiehajúcej finančnej krízy. Popisujem reakcie indexov na zverejňované správy aj z Ameriky aj z národných ekonomík Veľkej Británie, Nemecka a Francúzska. Píšem aj o dopadoch na bankový sektor. Takisto popisujem reakcie indexov na individuálne vládne opatrenia ako sú ekonomické a bankové záchranné balíčky, respektíve znižovanie úrokových sadzieb centrálnymi bankami.
