Determination of elasticity and strength characteristics of wood fresh state

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářská práce bylo zjišťování mechanických vlastností dřeva v čerstvém stavu. Zjišťované mechanické vlastnosti dřeva byly zkoumány na dřevě dubu letního (Quercus robur L.). K experimentům, byly zajištěny tři kmeny dubu, ze kterých se vyrobily vzorky. Stanovení pružnostních a pevnostních charakteristik bylo zjišťováno destruktivní metodou za pomocí univerzálního stroje ZWICK Z050. Destruktivní metody zahrnovaly zkoušky v tlaku, tahu a ohybu. U těchto zkoušek se stanovily fyzikální vlastnosti (hustota a vlhkost), meze pevnosti a moduly pružnosti. Zjišťované mechanické vlastnosti dubu byly stanoveny pro dva vlhkostní stavy. Statistickými testy bylo ověřeno, že jádrové dřevo má větší pevnost než bělové dřevo. Ve výsledku byla prokázána korelace mezi vlhkostí a mezí pevnosti a modulem pružnosti v ohybu, vlhkostí a mezí pevnosti a modulem pružnosti v tahu napříč vláken a dále korelace hustoty a meze pevnosti a modulu pružnosti v ohybu.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor's thesis was the determination of the mechanical properties of wood in its fresh state. The investigated mechanical properties of the wood were investigated on summer oak wood (Quercus robur L.). For the experiments, three oak trunks were secured from which samples were made. Determination of elasticity and strength characteristics was determined by a destructive method with the help of a universal ZWICK Z050 machine. Destructive methods included tests in compression, tension and bending. Physical properties (density and moisture), strength limits and elastic moduli were determined for these tests. The investigated mechanical properties of oak were determined for two moisture conditions. It has been verified by statistical tests that heartwood has greater strength than sapwood. As a result, a correlation between moisture content and ultimate strength and flexural modulus of in bending.
