Recovery of Non-performing Loans in Banks

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou vymáhání nesplácených úvěrů v bankách a uvádí možné způsoby, které vedou k její eliminaci či snížení. Celá práce je rozdělena do čtyř částí. V úvodní části je vysvětlen samotný pojem úvěrů včetně jejich struktury a členění dle druhového hlediska. Druhá kapitola obsahuje rizika úvěrových obchodů a způsoby jejich zajišťování, základní typy rizik a podrobné zaměření právě na riziko úvěrové a jeho měření. Následující třetí část práce zmiňuje opatření, dle kterého se stanoví pravidla pro posuzování pohledávek z finančních činností, tvorbu opravných položek a rezerv, dále pravidla pro nabývání některých druhů aktiv, vyhlášku, na jejímž základě se provádí kategorizace pohledávek a také směrnici, na základě které se postupně implementoval nový koncept kapitálové přiměřenosti, Basel II. V závěrečné čtvrté části je podrobněji objasněn samotný proces vymáhání pohledávek, jakožto centralizovaný a standardizovaný postup, který nastává v případě neuhrazení pohledávky dlužníkem a to řádně, ve sjednaném termínu a výši. Vymáhání je rozděleno do základních fází s procesy, které je provázejí.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the recovery of non-performing loans in banks and an indication of possible ways that lead to its elimination or reduction. The whole work is divided into four parts, in the introductory section explains the concept of loans, including their structure and breakdown by type. The second chapter contains the risk of credit transactions and ways to ensure basic types of risk and the detailed focus on credit risk and its measurement. The third part of the work refers to the measures by which lays down rules for the assessment of claims of financial activities, the creation of provisions and reserves, the rules for the acquisition of certain types of assets, a decree on the basis of implementing the categorization of claims and the Directive on the basis of which is being implemented new concept of capital adequacy, Basel II. In the final, fourth part is explained in more detail the actual process of recovery, as a centralized and standardized process, which occurs in the case of a borrower's outstanding debt and properly, the agreed date and amount. Collection is divided into phases with the fundamental processes that accompany it.
