Jindřich Freiwald and residential area on Ořechovka.

Abstract:

Předmětem této práce je život a dílo Jindřicha Freiwalda (1890-1945) zejména na poli zahradních kolonií s důrazem na zahradní kolonii Ořechovka. Poskytuje rámcový přehled o činnosti firmy Inženýři architekti Freiwald & Böhm. Úvod práce je věnován historickému exkurzu do období dvacátých let. Následující kapitola se věnuje dlouhému úsilí českých vzdělanců o nalezení národního architektonického slohu. Práce se zabývá bytovou krizí a jedním ze způsobů jejího řešení, kterým je právě výstavba zahradních kolonií. Dává též prostor kritickému názoru Karla Teigeho. Další část práce se věnuje osobě Jindřicha Freiwalda, jednotlivým okruhům jeho tvorby a působení ve firmě Inženýři architekti Freiwald & Böhm. Stěžejní část práce představuje jednak Ořechovku od počátků její přeměny v současnou zahradní kolonii a jednak podává rámcový realizací Jindřicha Freiwalda.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is the life and work thesis is the life and work of Jindřich Freiwald (1890-1945), especially in the field of garden colonies with an emphasis on the Ořechovka garden colony. It provides a framework overview of the activities of the firm of Engineers Architects Freiwald & Böhm. The introduction of the thesis is devoted to a historical excursion to the period of the 1920s. The following chapter is devoted to the long efforts of Czech scholars to find a national architectural style. The thesis deals with the housing crisis and one of its solutions, which is the construction of garden colonies. It also gives space to the critical opinion of Karel Teige. The next part of the thesis is devoted to the person of Jindřich Freiwald, the individual areas of his work and his work in the firm Inženýři architekti Freiwald & Böhm. The main part of the thesis presents Ořechovka from the beginnings of its transformation into a contemporary garden colony and gives a framework of Jindřich Freiwald's realisations.
