The role of a television in child education in pre-primary school

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je ?Postavení televize ve vzdělávání dětí v MŠ?. Na základě studia oboru ?Učitelství pro MŠ?, se tato práce soustředí na zjišťování, zda mezi rodiči - laiky a učiteli, jež by měli být informování o působení televizního vysílání na děti a zároveň vědět, jak předcházet jeho negativním vlivům, existuje rozdíl při formování vztahu dětí k televizi. Teoretická část se věnuje charakteristice televize jako masového sdělovacího prostředku, upozorňuje na negativní vlivy televizního vysílání, aby následně poukázala na důležitost mediální výchovy, jež za pomoci rodičů a učitelů povede nezkušené dětské diváky ke smysluplnému užívání televize. V průzkumné části své diplomové práce jsem se zaměřila na názory pedagogů a jejich zkušeností s výchovou a vzděláváním předškolních dětí o vlivu masově vzdělávacích prostředků na děti a jejich vnímání hodnot. Cílem průzkumu bylo zjistit, zda názory předškolních pedagogů jsou jednotné a do jaké míry se jejich názory odlišují. Data byla získána prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření, následně vyhodnocena a pro přehlednost zaznamenána do tabulek i grafů.

Abstract:

The subject of this bachelor thesis is ? The place of television in the education of children in nursery school. ? On the basis of the study of ?Pedagogy for Nursery school? this thesis is concentrated on the determination whether there is the difference in forming the children relation to television between the parents ? non specialists and the teachers who should be informed about the influence of the television broadcasting on children as well as they should know how to precede its negative influence. The theoretical part attends to characteristic of TV as media; it also draws the attention to negative influence of TV broadcasting to consequently show the importance of the media education, which - with the help of parents and teachers ? takes the inexperienced infantine viewers into the meaningful use of TV. In the explorative part of the thesis I target the opinion of the pedagogues and their experiences with the education and schooling of the pre-school children about the influence of media on children and their apprehension of the values. The aim of the research was to find out if the opinions of pre-school children pedagogues were identical and to what degree their opinions were different. Data were gained through survey; subsequently they were evaluated and quoted in tables and graphs for lucidity.
