Heat transfer in horizontaly oriented air enclosure

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to verify the applicability in the professional literature reported relations for the calculation of the heat transfer in the right, horizontally oriented air enclosure on the basis of the results of measurements carried out using the HFM 436/3/1E Lambda measuring device. The air enclosures were created using square polystyrene boards, in which coaxial square holes of the size corresponding to the location and size of the heat flow sensors built into the upper and lower thermostatized plate of the measuring device were created. Polystyrene boards were inserted between these thermostatized plates, creating enclosures with different thicknesses of the air layer. The temperature difference inserted on the thermostatic plates caused the heat flow through the assembly.This heat flow along with this temperature difference and the thickness of the air layer, made it possible to calculate the quantities needed to determine the relevant criterial equation. The relatively large thickness of the vertical walls of the cavity allowed to consider their surface to be "reemiting", which allowed the analytical determination of the radiant component of heat flux through the enclosure.

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomní práce bylo ověřit použitelnost v odborné literatůře uváděných vztahů pro výpočet sděleného tepla v pravouhlé, horizontálně orientované vzduchové dutině na základě výsledků měření provedených pomocí měřícího zařízení HFM 436/3/1E Lambda. Vzduchové dutiny byly vytvářeny pomocí čtvercových polystyrenových desek, v nichž byly vytvořeny kaxiální čtvercové otvory o velikosti odpovídající umístění a velikosti snímačů tepelného toku zabudovaných v horní a dolní termostatované desce měřícího zařízení. Polystyrenové desky byly vkládány mezi tyto termostatované desky, čímž byly vytvářeny dutiny o různé tloušťce vzduchové vrstvy. Teplotním rozdílem vloženým na termostatované desky vyvolaný tepelný tok sestavou spolu s tímto teplotním rozdílem a tlouštkou vzduchové vrstvy umožmily výpočet veličin potřebných pro určení příslušné kriteriální rovnice. Relativně velká tloušťka vertikálních stěn dutiny umožila považovat jejich povrch za "reemitující", což umožnilo analytické určení sálavého toku procházejícího dutinou.
