Modern methods of cell lineage tracing

Abstract:

Počátky embryologie se datují do konce 19. století a od té doby byly postupně odhalovány principy vývoje organismu od splynutí dvou zárodečných buněk až po vznik mnohobuněčného jedince. Nicméně, teprve s rozvojem různorodých genetických metod a nástrojů bylo umožněno sledovat vývojové osudy jednotlivých buněk a buněčných populací in vivo. Nové poznatky pomohly lépe pochopit složité procesy vzniku orgánů a vzájemné interakce buněk, včetně detekce vzácných buněčných typů. Cílem této práce bylo vytvořit přehled dostupných přístupů k mapování vývojových linií se zaměřením na jejich molekulární mechanismy a aplikace.

Abstract:

The origins of embryology date back to the end of the 19th century. Since then, the principles of the development of the organism have been gradually revealed, from the fusion of two germ cells to the formation of a multicellular individual. However, only with the development of diverse genetic methods and tools was it possible to monitor the developmental fates of individual cells and cell populations in vivo. The new findings have helped to better understand the complex processes of organ formation and cell interaction, including the detection of rare cell types. The aim of this work was to create an overview of the available approaches to mapping development lines with a focus on their molecular mechanisms and applications.
