Abstract:

Summarizing, the financial analysis of ŠKODA AUTO has been conducted, which was the main goal of this thesis. The purpose of this work was to evaluate the company’s financial health, creditworthiness, efficiency, stability and attractiveness to investors. The work consists of three parts.The methodological part is based on a theoretical explanation of the methods, its objectives and users.The second part is some information about company, their production, industry analysis and SWOT analysis of ŠKODA AUTO a.s.The practical part consists of using methods, described in theoretical part. Such as horizontal and vertical analysis of financial statements, analysis of ratios and predictions of the financial distress of the company.I have analyzed the company’s financial situation using such techniques as common-size analysis, ratio analysis and forecasting financial failure.All the conclusion shows that ŠKODA AUTO a.s. has steady financial position. I believe that the company will continue with growth of the production and will provide new modern and reliable products of a high quality.
