Práce je věnována současným poznatkům týkajících se pěstování ovsa setého (Avena sativa L.), jeho botanickému zařazení, agrotechnice, pěstovaným odrůdám a pohledu na pěstování ovsa v ČR a ve světě. The thesis is focused on recent knowledge of oat (Avena sativa L.), its botanical taxonomy, agrotechnology, varieties and growing of oat in the Czech Republic and worldwide. Investigation of Czech and foreign sources concentrated on the effects of the different times of seeding in connection with grain yield has been included.
