Financial stability and performance of the company from the perspective of modern methods of company performance evaluation

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je zhodnotit aktuální finanční stabilitu a výkonnost společnosti LMC, s.r.o. K účelům je využito vybraných tradičních ukazatelů finanční analýzy: horizontální a vertikální analýzy, v rámci kterých dojde rovněž k obsahovému vymezení konkrétních položek výkazů, analýzy fondů finančních prostředků a poměrových ukazatelů. Tradiční metody jsou posléze doplněny o komplexnější metody v podobě Indexu IN 05 a Indexu bonity. Pro účely eliminace omezené vypovídající schopnosti tradičních metod je poté provedeno hodnocení výkonnosti společnosti prostřednictvím moderních metod měření výkonnosti – dvou nejznámějších modifikací ukazatele ekonomické přidané hodnoty EVA entity a EVA equity. Na základě provedené analýzy lze deklarovat, že se jedná o finančně zdraví podnik, u něhož lze předpokládat pozitivní budoucí vývoj. Využití moderních metod hodnocení výkonnosti se neliší od hodnocení klasickými metodami, zjištěné hodnoty ukazatele EVA potvrdily dobrou situaci firmy zjištěnou klasickými metodami.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the current financial stability and performance of LMC, s.r.o. For the purpose of the analysis, traditional indicators of financial analysis are used: horizontal and vertical analysis, which will also define the content of the specific items of statements, followed by an analysis of the funds and ratios. Traditional methods are complemented by more complex methods such as the IN 05 Index and the Credit Score Index. The company performance evaluation are performed through modern performance measurement methods for the purpose of eliminating a limited ability of all traditional methods - two of the most well-known modifications of the economic value added EVA „Entity“ and EVA „Equity“. Based on the analysis we can declare that it is a financially sound business, with positive future expectations. The results of both modern and classical methods are similar. According to traditional methods, the company has a good situation, as confirmed by the EVA indicator.
