Analysis and evaluation of the financial situation of the selected company operating in the financial markets

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je komplexní rozbor a zhodnocení finanční situace firmy působící na finančních trzích během uplynulých let a porovnání zjištěných výsledků s průměrnými hodnotami dosažených v daném odvětví. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí. V té první části je popsána finanční analýza, kde je vysvětleno, k čemu slouží, kdo ji využívá a jaké informační materiály jsou k jejímu provedení třeba. Dále první část také představuje vybrané metody finanční analýzy, které jsou hlavním předmětem druhé části práce. Druhá část práce charakterizuje finanční trh, na kterém firma působí, obecně charakterizuje finanční instituci, představuje historii a informační údaje společnosti a rovněž provádí samotnou finanční analýzu firmy, kde jsou analyzovány právě vybrané metody finanční analýzy. Tyto metody jsou zpracovány na základě nejaktuálnějších výročních zpráv společnosti a výsledné hodnoty jsou porovnány s průměrnými hodnotami odvětví, ve kterém daná firma působí. V závěru práce je celkové hodnocení firmy provedené na základě zjištěných údajů.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the financial situation of the companies operating in the financial markets during the past few years and comparison the results with the average values obtained in a given sector. The work consists of two parts. The first part describes the financial analysis, where it is explained what is it who uses it, and what information materials are needed for its implementation. Furthermore, the first part also presents selected methods of financial analyses, which are the main subject of the second part of the work. The second part of the work characterizes a financial market in which the company operates, generally characterizes a financial institution, presents the historical data and information of the company and also performs financial analysis of the company itself, where they are analyzed currently selected methods of financial analysis. These methods are processed on the basis of the most recent annual reports of the company and the resulting values are compared with the average values of the sector in which the company operates. In conclusion of the thesis is the overall evaluation of the company which was made on observed data.
