Abstract:
My work traces the formation in the United States of America of an autonomous student-led organization named SNCC (read "snick"), the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. It shows the process of its assuming the role of the prime mover of the whole Civil Rights Movement in the early through mid-1960s.
