Comparison of the position of Internal audit (IA) in public-interest entities and commercial companies

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou interního auditu jakožto jedné ze základních činností organizační jednotky směřujících ke zdokonalení a zefektivnění podnikových činností. V teoretické rovině tato bakalářská práce řeší především podstatu interního auditu včetně jeho právního zakotvení. V rámci analytické části je pozornost zaměřena na charakteristiku konkrétních postupů, cílů a přístupů jednotlivých subjektů. Cílem této bakalářské práce je obecně zpracovat téma interního auditu včetně komparace dvou vybraných subjektů, jejich analýzy a následné syntézy, kdy důraz bude kladen na nalezení nejlepší praxe a pracovních postupů v rámci vybraných subjektů, které spadají do dvou odlišných sektorů, tedy sektoru veřejného a soukromého. Pro naplnění stanoveného cíle bylo v práci využito metod rešerše literatury, deskripce, analýzy, komparace a syntézy.

Abstract:

This Bachelor Thesis deals with internal audit as one of the main activities of the organizational unit designed to improve and streamline business operations. In theoretical part, this thesis addresses the particular nature of the internal audit, including its legal status. The analytial part is focused on desription of specific procedures, goals and approaches of individual subjects. The aim of this work is to generally handle the topic of internal audit, including comparison of two selected entities, their analysis and subsequent synthesis, where the emphasis will be on finding best practices and processes within the selected entities, which fall into two distinct sectors, ie public sector and private. To fullfill its objective the methods such as literature review, description, analysis, comparison and synthesis were used.
