Contrastive study of anaphoric forms in "La Revue dessinée" and standard press

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is examining the relation between the comic revue “La Revue Dessinée” and the journalistic style of the standard French press on the background of historical context and theoretical findings. The selected articles from relevant sources are compared with regard to their content, language expressions and syntax. The emphasis is put on the analysis of the anaphoric expressions and on the description of their difference regarding individual styles. Despite the comparative method, the sentence analysis is used to illustrate these differences. The aim of this thesis is to prove that the comic as (news) media is dissimilar to the standard press, but that it is still capable of fulfilling this function. This diploma thesis also seeks to prove that the anaphoric expressions in French vary according to the type of text in which they occur.

Abstract:

Práce na pozadí historického kontextu a teoretických poznatků zkoumá vztah mezi komiksovou revue „La Revue Dessinée“ a žurnalistickým stylem francouzského tisku. Vybrané články z příslušných zdrojů jsou analyzovány s použitím komparativní metody hlavně v oblasti obsahu, jazykových prostředků a syntaxe. Důraz je kladen na zjištění rozdílů v užívání anaforických výrazů mezi jednotlivými styly s pomocí syntaktických rozborů. Cílem této práce je prokázat, že komiksy jakožto sdělovací prostředky se liší od běžného tisku, ale že i jako takové jsou schopny tuto funkci vykonávat. Práce má za úkol také dokázat, že odkazovací prostředky ve francouzštině se liší dle typu textu, ve kterém se nacházejí.
