Conservation-restoration of a shooting target and making of this piece's copy in the museum

Abstract:

Conservation-restoration of a shooting target and making of this piece´s copy in the museum. The bachelor thesis, named „Conservation - restoration of a shooting target and making of this piece´s copy in the museum“, is focused on life and history of various shooting communities, paninted shootings targets and it will also provide a view on conservation-restoration of the collection object – shooting target with motive of an antique good Hermes – Mercurius, and the followed-up making of its identical copy for the Technical Museum in Brno. I have presented my view of the shooting communities, sharpshooter competitions and traditions, targets and arms, used for this purposes in two levels. In the first one, I´ ve briefly described its history, I´ve characterized its birth, development, shooting and forestry patrons, shooting protective magics in life of huntsmen and soldiers, describing of social environment, in which was the shooting applied. I´ve also mentioned the opera „The Marksman“ and in the second part, I´ ve focused straight on my work – conservation and restoration of the shooting target with motive of antice good Hermes – Mercurius and making of its copy. I had also created an conservational – restoration documentation about this intervention.

Abstract:

Konzervovanie – reštaurovanie streleckého terča a následné zhotovenie kópie tohoto diela v múzeu. Bakalárska práca na tému „Konzervovanie – reštaurovanie streleckého terča a následné zhotovenie kópie tohoto diela v múzeu“ je venovaná životu a histórii streleckých spoločností, maľovaných streleckých terčov a zprostredkuje pohľad na konzervovanie - reštaurovanie zbierkového predmetu streleckého terča s motívom antického boha Herma - Mercuria a následné zhotovenie jeho identickej kópie pre Technické múzeum v Brne. Svoj pohľad na strelecké spoločenstvá, ostrostrelecké súťaže a tradície, terče a zbrane k tomuto účelu používané som obsiahla v dvoch rovinách: v prvej som stručne opísala históriu, charakterizovala ich vznik, vývoj, patrónov strelectva a lesníctva, strelecké ochranné kúzla a čary v živote poľovníckom a vojenskom, líčenie spoločenského prostredia, v ktorom sa strelectvo uplatňovalo, spomenula som aj hudobné stvárnenie opery „Čarostrelec“ a v druhej časti som sa priamo podrobne zamerala na mnou konzervovaný - reštaurovaný Strelecký terč s motívom antického Boha Mercuria - Hermesa a zhotovenie jeho identickej kópie pre Technické múzeum v Brne. O tomto ko – re zásahu som poskytla vypracovanú konzervátorsko – reštaurátorskú dokumentáciu tohoto diela.
