The poetics of Emil Hakl´s short stories with a focus on the narrator

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá povídkovou tvorbou Emila Hakla, konkrétně texty otištěnými v knihách Konec světa, O létajících objektech, Pravidla směšného chování a Hovězí kostky; pro získání potřebného kontextu se stručně věnuje i novele O rodičích a dětech. Zaměřuje se především na analýzu vypravěče a jeho vliv na konstituování fikčního světa. Metodologicky se opírá o naratologickou koncepci Shlomith Rimmon-Kenanové, zohledněna je i teorie Lubomíra Doležela. Pozornost je upřena i na celkovou strukturu povídek a její proměny, prostor a čas textů, vedlejší postavy a jejich interakci s vypravěčem. Tato teoretická základna je použita pro interpretaci povídek, která postihuje povahu fikčního světa a jeho korelaci se světem reálným. Také interpretace je zaměřena primárně na vypravěče, který je zároveň hlavní postavou většiny textů, pozornost je ovšem upřena i na další složky narativní struktury a jejich vliv na čtenářskou percepci.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the short stories of Emil Hakl, specifically texts in the books Konec světa, O létajících objektech, Pravidla směšného chování a Hovězí kostky; to get the context needed it also briefly pays attention to the novelette O rodičích a dětech. The analysis of the narrator and his influence on the constituon of the fictional world are mainly focused. The thesis is metodologically based on the narratological conception of Shlomith Rimmon-Kenan, the theory of Lubomír Doležel is also taken into consideration. The general structure of the stories and its transformations, the space and time, side characters and their interaction with the narrator are also included. This theoretical base is used to interprete the stories and to describe the nature of the fictional world and its correlation with the real world. The interpretation is also focused primarily on the narrator, who is the main character of the most of the texts as well, while the other parts of the narrative structure and their influence on the reader´s perception are also considered.
