Abstract:
Témou tejto bakalárskej práce je fresková výzdoba apsidy v chráme Santa Maria foris portas v Castelsepriu. Dané fresky boli počas nedávneho archeologického výskumu datované do 10. storočia. Práca pojednáva o helenistickej tradícii v kontexte imperiálnych umeleckých objednávok. V tomto smere sa primárne zameriava na okolnosti pôsobenia cisárovnej Theophany v Otonskej ríši. Abstract:
The subject of this bachelor thesis is a fresco decoration in the apse of Santa Maria foris portas church in Castelseprio. Frescoes were dated to the 10th century during the recent archaeological research. The thesis focuses on the Hellenistic tradition in the context of imperial art commissions, as well as the circumstances surrounding empress Theophanu's rule in the Ottonian realm.
