Comparison of mortality trends by cause of death in Africa
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem úmrtnosti dle příčin úmrtí v Africe v rámci stanoveného období 1990-2019. V práci je komparováno šest hlavních příčin úmrtí (konkrétně úmrtí na komplikace spojené s AIDS, průjmová onemocnění, infekce dolních cest dýchacích, neonatální poruchy, malárie a ischemická choroba srdeční) pomocí specifické míry úmrtnosti v jednotlivých afrických regionech.
Abstract:
The bachelor's thesis deals with the development of mortality by causes of death in Africa within the set period 1990-2019. The thesis compares the six main causes of death (specifically, deaths from AIDS-related complications, diarrheal diseases, lower respiratory tract infections, neonatal disorders, malaria and ischemic heart disease) using specific mortality rates in individual African regions …more
