Abstract:

Obsahem této diplomové práce je představení problematiky Competitive Intelligence a návrh využití jejích postupů ve firmě Reframat a.s., která se zabývá především dovozem základních keramických surovin pro výrobu zejména žáruvzdorných materiálů. Hlavním cílem této práce je využití metod konkurenčního zpravodajství pro získání přehledu o konkurenčním prostředí společnosti a situaci na trhu, kde společnost působí a tím zvýšit konkurenceschopnost dané firmy. Dalším cílem je poté identifikace vhodných informačních zdrojů, případně nástrojů pro jejich monitorování, jakož i stanovení klíčových témat a otázek, které jsou pro zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti společnosti zásadní. Teoretická část práce vychází z odborné literatury a zabývá se představením termínu Competitive Intelligence, charakteristikou různých typů konkurenčního zpravodajství a popisem jednotlivých částí zpravodajského cyklu. Rovněž je v rámci této části práce uvedena typologie informačních zdrojů a charakterizovány nástroje pro sběr a analýzu informací z internetu. Praktická část této práce se zabývá návrhem systému konkurenčního zpravodajství pro konkrétní společnost. Nejprve je charakterizováno dané podnikatelské prostředí a je představena vybraná společnost. Dále je provedena analýza informačních potřeb dané společnosti a jsou formulovány relevantní Key Intelligence Topics a Questions. Následně je proveden výběr vhodných informačních zdrojů, jakož i nástrojů pro sběr a analýzu informací. Firmou vybrané klíčové oblasti jsou poté za pomoci konkurenčního zpravodajství analyzovány a získané znalosti poskytnuty firmě. Na závěr je provedeno zhodnocení navrženého řešení a analýz vedením společnosti a jsou na základě získaných informací formulována strategická doporučení pro společnost. Přínosem práce je možnost navrženým systémem získávat relevantní a aktuální informace o konkurenci, jakož i o situaci na trhu, které jsou zásadní pro stanovování strategie společnosti a rozhodování na taktické úrovni. Rovněž zaměstnanci společnosti budou mít přehled o specifikách a potřebách zákazníků na trhu, jakož i o současných trendech v odvětví.

Abstract:

The content of this diploma thesis is the introduction of the issue of Competitive Intelligence and the proposal to use its procedures in the company Reframat a.s., which deals mainly with the import of basic ceramic raw materials for the production of refractory materials. The main objective of this thesis is to use the methods of Competitive Intelligence to gain an overview of the competitive environment of the company and the situation in the market where the company operates and thus increase the competitiveness of the company. The next objective is then to identify appropriate information sources or tools for monitoring them, as well as to identify key topics and questions that are essential to increase the company's competitiveness. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on the literature and deals with the introduction of the term Competitive Intelligence, characteristics of different types of competitive intelligence and description of individual parts of the intelligence cycle. It also presents a typology of information sources and characterizes tools for collecting and analyzing information from the Internet. The practical part of this thesis deals with the design of a competitive intelligence system for a specific company. First, the business environment is characterized and the selected company is introduced. Next, an analysis of the information needs of the given company is performed and relevant Key Intelligence Topics and Questions are formulated. Subsequently, a selection of appropriate information sources as well as tools for information gathering and analysis is made. The key areas selected by the company are then analyzed using competitive intelligence and the knowledge gained is provided to the company. Finally, an evaluation of the proposed solution and analysis is made by the company management and strategic recommendations for the company are formulated based on the information obtained. The contribution of the thesis is the possibility of the proposed system to obtain relevant and up-to-date information about the competitors as well as the market situation, which is essential for setting the company's strategy and decision-making at the tactical level. Also, the company's employees will have an overview of the specifics and needs of customers in the market as well as current trends in the industry.
