Abstract:

Úplné počátky tohoto projektu sahají dva roky zpátky. Můj otec zemřel a my jsme se se sestrou musely postarat o všechny jeho závazky, které byly najednou naše. Když jsme přišli k notářce, která byla pověřena naším případem, nevěděla ani, že nebožtík měl dvě dcery. Člověk může velice snadno něco zdědit a nikdy se o tom nedozví. Později jsem si uvědomila, že by bylo mnohem snazší řešit tento typ situací, kdyby lidé o své smrti a tom co následuje potom přemýšleli v předstihu. Lidé v západní civilizaci se smrti bojí, obvykle se o ní nepřemýšlí ani nemluví. Tento druh osobních rozhodnutí by měl každý udělat v klidu a mít na ně dostatek času bez jakéhokoliv nátlaku. Můj projekt, databázová on-line aplikace s přístupem pro uživatele a dědice, je jedním z možných řešení.

Abstract:

The beginning of this project can be found two years ago. My father died and me together with my sister had to take care about all of his stuff, which eventually became ours. When we came to the lawyer that was supposed to take care of this process and she didn't even know our father had two daughters, I found it awkward. Basically, you may inherit something and you will never know about it. Later I thought how things would be easier if people would think about their death and the situation following for their relatives in advance. People in western civilisation have fear from death, so usually don't think neither talk about it. This kind of personal decisions should be made with calm and each person should have enough time to think about each of them without pressure. My project, a database-driven on-line application with access for user and heir, is a possible solution.
