Téma práce bylo zvoleno s přihlédnutím k faktu, že vývoj ANN (umělých neuronových sítí) i OCR (optické rozpoznávání písma) jsou aktuálním předmětem zájmu, neboť jejich využití je možno nalézt ve stále širším spektru oborů. Theme of this work was chosen due the fact the development of ANN (artificial neural networks) and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is the subject of current interest and both the ANN and OCR respectively are very usable at wide spectrum of disciplines, which is stil growing.
