Supporting the development of informatics thinking through the Web

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce bylo vytvoření webového portálu pro podporu rozvoje informatického myšlení a následná evaluace. Web je určen primárně pro učitele a žáky 2. stupně ZŠ. Obsahová složka webu vedoucí k podpoře rozvoje algoritmického myšlení žáků obsahuje dokumenty se vzdělávacími materiály a cvičnými příklady. Získané znalosti si žáci mohou prověřit v praxi cvičnými zadanými příklady, které jsou taktéž na webu. S plněním úkolů žákům pomohou video návody, které je dovedou k řešení. A v neposlední řadě si mohou ověřit získané znalosti pomocí krátkých kvízů. Cílem je podpořit informatické myšlení v hodinách Informatiky. Teoretická část práce se zabývá současnou situací výuky Informatiky na základních školách. V této části byly sledovány současné trendy ve výchově informatiky, jakým způsobem je informatika vyučována a protlačována do nynějšího života žáků. Velkým tématem jsou právě multimédia a e-learning, který žákům pomáhá k domácí přípravě, nejen v rámci algoritmického myšlení. Praktická část je věnována návrhu řešení výukového webového portálu. Zpracování webu v HTML/CSS. Seznámením s využitými aplikacemi potřebnými k tvorbě multimediálního obsahu, jako jsou video návody tvořeny v aplikaci StopMotion, kvízy tvořeny na webových portálech. V závěru praktické části je zhodnocený dotazník žáků a učitelů, kteří byli osloveni s prosbou evaluace vytvořeného webu.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to evaluate the created educational portal to support computer thinking. The website is intended primarily for teachers and pupils of the 2nd grade of elementary school. The content component of the website, leading to the support of the development of pupils´ algorithmic thinking, contains educational materials in the form of pdf. Pupils can check the acquired knowledge in practice witch practical examples, which are also on the web. Video tutorials will help students complete their tasks. And last but not least, they can test their knowledge with short, easy quizzes. The aim is to support algorithmic thinking. The theoretical part deals with the current situation of ICT teaching in primary schools. In this part, current trends in the education of informatics were monitored, how informatics is taught and pushed into the current life of pupils. The big topic is just multimedia and e-learning, which helps students to prepare at home, and not only in algorithmic thinking. The practical part is devoted to the design of an educational web portal. Web processing in HTML/CSS. By getting acquainted with used applications needed to create multimedia content, such as video tutorials created in the StopMotion application, quizzes created in web portals. At the end of the practical part, a questionnaire of students and teachers who were approached with a request to evaluate the create website is evaluated.
