Accounting for claims in the system of double entry bookkeeping

Abstract:

Bachelor´s thesis is concerned with more detailed ledger claims according to the Slovak legal accounting regulation of the subsequent concept definition of the claim as well as distribution and it´s display in accounting. On the ground of performance measurement in Vimat Company Ltd. This work show´s closer on display of the claims in practice and their comparison in two severally following accounting periods. The first chapter is dealing with broader scale of the legal accounting regulation in Slovak Republic and with characteristic of the claims as a part of fortune. Subsequently after that follows the second chapter that concerns to dividing of the claims and their display in the accounting. It is focused on reevaluation and inventory control but also on the certain groups of the claims. In the third chapter it is concerned with repurchase of short-term and long-term claims as for factoring and forfaiting. In the component of the third chapter are also two subheads regarding ringing up and factoring. The last chapter concerns with the valuation of the claims in practice it means their display for the every single accounting period and subsequently their comparison and finding out which claims have the biggest agency between the short-term and long-term claims.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá podrobnejším priblížením pohľadávok podľa slovenskej právnej úpravy účtovníctva následným vymedzením pojmu pohľadávka ako aj rozdelením a ich zobrazením v účtovníctve. Na základe hodnotenia vykonaného v spoločnosti VIMAT s. r. o. práca bližšie poukazuje na zobrazenie pohľadávok v praxi a ich porovnanie v dvoch po sebe idúcich účtovných obdobiach. Prvá kapitola sa zaoberá v širšom rozsahu právnou úpravou účtovníctva v Slovenskej republike a charakteristikou pohľadávok ako súčasť majetku. Následne nato nadväzuje druhá kapitola, ktorá sa týka rozdelenia pohľadávok a ich zobrazenia v účtovníctve. Zameriava sa aj na ocenenie a inventarizáciu, ale aj na určité skupiny pohľadávok. V tretej kapitole rieši odkúpenie krátkodobých a dlhodobých pohľadávok, čiže faktoring a forfaiting. Súčasťou tretej kapitoly sú aj dve podkapitoly, týkajúce sa zápočtu a predaja pohľadávok. Posledná kapitola sa týka hodnotenia pohľadávok v praxi, čiže ich zobrazenie za jednotlivé účtovné obdobia a následne ich porovnanie a zistenie, ktoré pohľadávky majú najväčšie zastúpenie medzi dlhodobými a krátkodobými pohľadávkami.
