History of artificial insemination in Moravia

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je vypracována jako historická studie, která má sloužit jako přehled významných historických časových mezníku asistované reprodukce na Moravě, ale i ve světě. Teoretická část je zaměřena na vysvětlení pojmu neplodnost, léčbu neplodnosti a historii asistované reprodukce ve světě. Empirická část této diplomové práce je zaměřena na historii asistované reprodukce na Moravě. Pozornost je věnována významným osobnostem v asistované reprodukci na Moravě, dále je zde vytvořen i přehled vývoje legislativy a pojištění v oblasti asistované reprodukce a přehled narozených dětí z IVF a KET cyklu od roku 2007 do roku 2019.

Abstract:

This thesis is elaborated as a historical study which is supposed to serve as an overview of important historical milestones of asisted sexual reproduction not only in Moravia, but also world-wide. The theoretical part is aimed at the definition of the term 'infertility', 'treatment of infertility' and the history of assisted reproduction in the world. The empirical part of my work is focused on the history of this method in Moravia. Our focus is directed on famous people performing this method in Moravia. Furthermore, there is an overview of the development of the legislature and assurance in the field of the assisted reproduction and the overview of newborn babies from IVF and KET cycle from 2007 to 2019.
