Consumption behavior and financial management of Czech households

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je sumarizovat informace o principech spotřebního chování domácností v kontextu jejich finančního hospodaření. Dílčím cílem práce je realizace dotazníkového šetření zaměřeného na oblasti příjmů, výdajů, spoření, závazků, úvěrů a půjček českých domácností. Výsledky z vlastního šetření jsou využity při formulaci závěrů a doporučení v předmětné oblasti. Součástí práce jsou i dvě hypotetické otázky, které jsou v práci rovněž zodpovězeny. Literární část seznamuje čtenáře s daným tématem. Aplikační část práce vychází z primárních dat, k jejichž sběru byla využita již zmíněná dotazníková metoda. V práci je použita také komparativní metoda, která porovnávala vybraná data z dotazníkového šetření se sekundárními zdroji, plynoucích z některých výzkumů, zabývajících se rovněž touto problematikou. Na základě provedených analýz jsou následně formulovány závěry a doporučení pro oblast finančního hospodaření českých domácností.

Abstract:

The main goal of this diploma thesis is to summarize information about the principles of consumption behavior of households in the context of their financial management. Partial goal the work is the implementation of a questionnaire survey focused on the areas of income, expenses, savings, liabilities, credits and loans of Czech households. The results of the own investigation are used in the formulation of conclusions and recommendations in the subject area. The work also includes two hypothetical questions that are also answered in the work. The literary part introduces readers with a given topic. The application part of the work is based on primary data, for the collection of which the already mentioned questionnaire method was used. Comparative is also used in the work a method that compared selected data from a questionnaire survey with secondary data sources resulting from some research also dealing with this issue. Based on the analyzes carried out, conclusions and recommendations are subsequently formulated for the area of ​​financial management of Czech households.
