Using the Elements of the Method by Professor Hejny in Classical Mathematics

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá možností propojení dvou vyučovacích metod v matematice, klasické a metody podle profesora Hejného. Cílem je zavést vybrané prvky z "Hejného metody" při procvičování se žáky 5. ročníku, kteří jsou vzděláváni klasickou metodikou. Práce obsahuje dvě hlavní části. V první teoretické jsou popsány základní principy metody podle profesora Hejného a vyjádření tří dotázaných k této problematice. Druhá praktická část obsahuje popis práce se žáky, tedy přípravy na výuku, popis realizace a reflexi odučených hodin. V další části je zpracováno dotazníkové šetření mezi žáky a na závěr výčet dalších využitelných prvků. Výsledkem práce je určitý přínos prvků pro žáky. Na základě vyhodnocení práce žáků a dotazníku se ukázalo, že v klasické matematice lze s největším úspěchem využít práci se čtvercovou sítí, geodeskou a příklady se šipkovým zápisem.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the possibility of connecting two teaching methods in maths classes: the classical one and the method by Professor Hejný. The main purpose is to implement some chosen elements from Professor Hejný's method into teaching the fifth year pupils of a primary school, who are currently educated by classical mathematics. The thesis is structured in three main parts. In the first theoretical part some basic principles of the method by Professor Hejný are described and three interviewed people's opinion on this method are presented. The second practical part contains a description of teaching these classes; namely the lesson plans, the description of the taught lessons and feedback on them. In the final part the pupils' questionnaires are analysed and also the list of some useful elements are presented there. The result of this thesis is to discover benefit or otherwise of some Professor Hejný's method's elements to pupils. On the basis of the evaluation of the students' work and questionnaires' analyses it showed that in classical mathematics lessons the most beneficial could be the following elements: the squared net, geoboard and the examples with using arrows.
