Abstract:

This thesis provides a brief insight into the TV series Yellowstone (2018), including the plot, casting, or location as well as Native American perspectives on the depiction of the Indigenous characters, the history of Yellowstone National Park before and after its establishment, and the Indian tribes that inhabited the area. The analysis examines the portrayal of Native Americans in the TV series Yellowstone to compare the hardships the characters face in contrast to the real experiences of Native Americans.

Abstract:

Tato práce poskytuje stručný náhled do seriálu Yellowstone (2018), jeho děje, obsazení či místa natáčení, a také perspektivu původních Američanů na zobrazení domorodých postav. Dále krátce představí historii Národního Parku Yellowstone před a po jeho založení včetně historie Indiánských kmenů, které v této oblasti žily tisíce let. Analýza se zabývá zobrazením původních Američanů v seriálu Yellowstone, jejímž cílem je porovnání nesnází, kterým původní Američané v seriálů čelí v kontrastu s reálnými zkušenostmi Indiánů.
