Psychological resilience and the attitudes towards own disease of diabetics

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci jsme se zabývali souvislostmi mezi psychickou odolností diabetiků 1. typu a jejich dodržováním příslušných zdravotních doporučení. Záměr práce vznikl po zpozorování odlišností u diabetiků v přístupu ke svému onemocnění a k těžkostem, které nemoc přináší. Práce si klade otázku, zda existuje souvislost mezi vztahem diabetika ke svému onemocnění a jeho psychickou odolností. Čtenáři nabídne teoretický náhled do zkoumané problematiky a výsledky výzkumného šetření. Na základě statistické analýzy jsme dospěli k souvislosti mezi psychickou odolností, ve smyslu sense of coherence a hardiness, a dodržováním příslušných zdravotních doporučení.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the connection between psychological resistance of type 1 diabetics and their observance of relevant health recommendations. The intent of the work was begun after the observation of differences in the way diabetics have access to their illness and the difficulties that the illness brings. The thesis asks whether there is a connection between the relationship of a diabetics to their illness and their psychological resistance. The work will provide the reader with a theoretical insight into the research issues and the results of the research. Based on statistical analysis, we have found a connection between psychological resistance, in terms sense of coherence and hardiness, and adherence to relevant health recommendation.
