Panel painting of Virgin Mary with Child (fifteenth century?) in Museum in Telč

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je věnována deskovému obrazu Panny Marie s dítětem, který je uložen v Muzeu v Telči, pobočce Muzea Vysočiny Jihlava. Práce je zaměřena na studium lokální historiografie, technologický průzkum stavu obrazu a jeho formální a typologickou analýzu. Formální a analýza je částečně věnována také jihočeským obrazům z 50. a 60. let 15. století. Práce se dále zaměřuje na studium jihomoravských deskových obrazů v jejich kontextu s hornorakouskýjm uměním 60. až 80. let 15. století a na studium jejich ikonografického a formálního vztahu k obrazu Panny Marie s dítětem. Všechny zmíněné metody jsou voleny kvůli určení datace obrazu a jeho zařazení do kontextu jihomoravského umění druhé poloviny 15. století. Výsledkem je pak datace obrazu do roku 1480 a zjištěn_ ed lokality vzniku, kdy se jako pravděpodobná jeví lokalita jihomoravská a jihlavsko.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis pays attention to the panel painting of Virgin Mary With Child that is deposited in Museum in Telč - branch of Muzem Vysočiny Jihlava. Work concentrates on study of local historiography, condition technological research of painting and its formal and typological analysis. Formal and typological analysis is also partly applied to South Czech paintings of the 50s and 60s of fifteenth century. Work is further focused on study of South Moravia panel paintings in their context with Upper Austrian art of the 60s - 80s of the fifteenth century and on study of their iconographic and formal relation towards the painting of Virgin Mary With Child . All mention methods were chosen to determinate the dating of the painting and its subsumption into the context of South Moravia art of the second half of the fifteenth century. Consequently the dating of the painting was established in the year 1480 and South Moravian locality and Jihlava region were identified as prob able localities of creation.
