Bakalářská práce shrnuje genetické a antropologické poznatky o Downově syndromu, jakožto nejběžnější chromozomální abnormalitě vyskytující se v lidské populaci. Zmiňuje tři možné formy syndromu a způsoby jejich dědičnosti, stejně tak jako četnosti jejich výskytu a rizikové skupiny s aktuálními daty pro Českou republiku. Bachelor thesis sumarizes genetical and antropological knowledge about Down syndrome, the most common chromosomal abnormality occuring in the human population.
