Communication between parents and class teachers of Primary School children

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce „Komunikace rodičů a učitelů prvňostupňových dětí“ se zabývá pohledem rodičů žáků a jejich učitelů na vzájemnou komunikaci, spolupráci a z nich vyplývající vztah. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a empirickou část. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na vymezení komunikace a spolupráce mezi rodinou a školou, na specifika domácí přípravy, vztahů školy a rodiny, role učitele a rodičů. Empirická část obsahuje metodologii výzkumného šetření a následnou analýzu a interpretaci dat získaných kvalitativním šetřením, které proběhlo mezi rodiči prvňostupňových žáků základní školy a také jejich učiteli. Cílem této práce je zjistit, jak probíhá komunikace mezi rodiči a školou, jak se vyvíjí jejich spolupráce a jaký mají rodiče přístup k plnění rodičovských povinností v souvislosti s domácí přípravou.

Abstract:

The Master´s Diploma Thesis „Communication between parents and class teachers of Primary School children“ deals with the view which the parents of pupils and their teachers have on their communication, cooperation and their mutual relation. The Thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part deals with the definiton of communication and cooperation between school and family, the specifics of homework, relations between school and family, roles of teachers and parents. The empirical part then contains the methodology, analysis and interpretation of the data collected by the qualitative research which was conducted among the Primary School teachers and the pupils parents. The aim of this thesis is to determinate how the communication between parents and school works, how the cooperation develops and how is evidenced the attitude to fulfilment of parental duties in the context with homework.
