Pronunciation of Czech Teachers of Spanish

Abstract:

This thesis is dedicated to the study of the pronunciation of Czech teachers of Spanish. In the theoretical part, we describe language acquisition from a phonetic point of view, in relation to the most famous approaches and theories. We also present a brief comparison of the Czech and Spanish phonetic systems, highlighting the problematic points in the Spanish pronunciation for Czech speakers. The study consists of an analysis of the Spanish pronunciation of Czech teachers, followed by an examination of their attitudes towards the perception and correction of incorrect pronunciation. Finally, we describe the teachers' beliefs about pronunciation and its teaching.

Abstract:

Este trabajo se dedica al estudio de la pronunciación espaňola de los profesores checos. En la parte teórica describimos la adquisición de las lenguas desde el punto de vista fonético en relación con los enfoques y teorías más famosos. También presentamos una breve comparación del sistema fonético checo y espaňol y destacamos los puntos problemáticos en la pronunciación espaňola de los checos. La segunda parte consiste en un análisis de la pronunciación de los profesores de espaňol, para luego pasar al análisis de la actitud del profesorado hacia la percepción y corrección de la pronunciación incorrecta. Por último, se describen las creencias de los profesores sobre la pronunciación y su enseňanza.
