Increasing cyber resilience through simulated phishing

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na zvyšování kybernetické odolnosti uživatelů prostřednictvím simulovaného phishingu. Práce se věnuje kybernetické bezpečnosti a popisuje základní pojmy z tohoto oboru. Dále se zaměřuje na útoky pomocí technik sociálního inženýrství a popisuje další typy kybernetických útoků. Praktická část práce se zaměřuje na možnosti zvyšování kybernetické odolnosti pomocí simulovaného phishingu a popisuje různé přístupy, které mohou být využity ke vzdělávání uživatelů a testování úrovně jejich kybernetické odolnosti. Praktická část práce je věnována návrhu a implementaci tří simulovaných phishingových útoků, jehož výsledky jsou následně vyhodnoceny a prezentovány. Součástí praktické části práce je návrh bezpečnostních opatření a doporučení, jak využívat simulovaný phishing pro vzdělávání uživatelů. Závěr práce shrnuje výsledky simulovaných phishingových kampaní a poskytuje doporučení pro zvyšování kybernetické odolnosti v organizaci.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on increasing cyber resilience of users through simulated phishing. The thesis addresses cybersecurity and describes basic concepts of the field. It further focuses on attacks using social engineering techniques and describes other types of cyber attacks. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the possibilities of increasing cyber resilience through simulated phishing and describes various approaches that can be used for educating users and testing their level of cyber resilience. The practical part of the thesis is dedicated to the design and implementation of three simulated phishing attacks, the results of which are subsequently evaluated and presented. The practical part of the thesis includes the proposal of security measures and recommendations for utilizing simulated phishing for user education. The conclusion of the thesis summarizes the results of simulated phishing campaigns and provides recommendations for increasing cyber resilience within an organization.
