Abstract:
The main goal of this master’s thesis was to trace the domestication of the grapevine and its distribution in Asia, North Africa and Europe from the Early Paleolithic to the Middle Ages. The thesis presents current beliefs and research on the history of wine, viticulture and vine domestication.
