Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá mečovým tancem moreška, který se do dnešních dnů zachoval v chorvatském městě Korčula. Recentní podoba mečového tance moreška se skládá ze sedmi tanečních figur a je opřena o hudební doprovod dechového orchestru a o dramatickou hru, ve které proti sobě bojují dvě muslimská vojska. Produkce morešky bývala dříve spjata především s oslavami svátku Sv. Teodora, patrona města Korčula. Ve 20. století dochází k rozvoji cestovního ruchu a moreška se začíná přizpůsobovat jeho požadavkům. První část práce se zaměřuje na vznik, šíření, vývoj tance a kulturní spolky, v jejichž rámci se moreška tancuje. Druhá část je orientována na součastnou morešku a především problémy modernity, s nimiž se potýká. Jelikož v posledním století byla produkce morešky často spojována s turizmem, práce se pokusí objasnit jeho vliv na morešku a také využívání morešky ke komerčním účelům. Závěr je věnován její ochraně a roli v nehmotném kulturním dědictví Chorvatské republiky.

Abstract:

This work focuses on the sword dance of the Moreška, which has been preserved to this day in the Croatian town of Korčula. The recent form of the Moreška sword dance consists of seven dance figures and is accompanied by wind orchestra music, as well as the dramatic play of two fighting Muslim armies. Originally, the Moreška used to be performed on St. Theodor’s day as this saint is the patron of the town of Korčula. In the 20th century the Moreshka gradually adjusted to the needs of developing tourism. The first part of the text focuses on the evolution, local relations, and development of the dance, as well as cultural societies that perform the Moreshka to this day. The second part of the work is dedicated to the contemporary form of the Moreshka and mainly the problems related to its modernity that threatens its original characters. Due to the fact that in the past century the Moreška was performed mainly as tourist attraction, the text will aim to define the influences of tourism on the Moreška and also on the use of the dance for commercial purposes. The final part deals with the protection of traditional dance and its role in the intangible heritage of the Croatian Republic.
