Analysis of Mass Housing and Evaluation of Housing Policy in the Context of Demographic Changes in Púchov

Abstract:

Demografické zmeny, ako starnutie populácie a migrácia, majú zásadný vplyv na potreby bývania a vyžadujú prispôsobenie bytovej politiky, aby adekvátne reagovala na meniace sa požiadavky obyvateľstva. Existuje málo špecificky zameraných dokumentov na Slovensku, kde je sociálne-demografická štruktúra a na ňu naviazaná bytová politika. Preto sa táto bakalárska práca zameriava na analýzu trhu hromadného bývania a hodnotenie bytovej politiky na území mesta Púchov v kontexte demografických zmien. Za účelom dosiahnutia tohto cieľa boli využité metódy tematickej kartografie, projektového managementu a SWOT analýzy. Výsledky analýzy ukazujú na starnutie obyvateľov Púchova a jeho migráciu mimo mesto. Z tohto dôvodu sa nám návrh projektu zameriava na revitalizáciu bytových domov a špecifické potreby bývania seniorov. Závery práce ukazujú intenzívnu potrebu verejnej správy reagovať na súčasné demografické trendy na území mesta prostredníctvom špecificky zameraných opatrení.

Abstract:

Demographic changes such as population aging and migration significantly impact housing needs and require an adaptation of housing policy to adequately respond to the changing demands of the population. There are few documents in Slovakia specifically focused on the socio-demographic structure and its related housing policy. Therefore, this bachelor thesis focuses on analysing the mass housing market and evaluating the housing policy in the city of Púchov in the context of demographic changes. To achieve this goal, methods of thematic cartography, project management, and SWOT analysis were used. The results of the analysis indicate the aging of Púchov's residents and their migration out of the city. For this reason, our project proposal focuses on the revitalization of apartment buildings and the specific housing needs of seniors. The conclusions of the thesis show an intense need for public administration to respond to current demographic trends in the city through specifically targeted measures.
