The Roman Age to the Migration Period Cremation Cemetery in Plotiště nad Labem

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá pohřebištem z doby římské a počátku doby stěhování národu v Plotištích nad Labem (Královehradecký kraj). Toto pohřebište čítající přes tisíc hrobů žárových a tři hroby kostrové je unikátní nekropolí nejen na našem území, ale i v celé střední Evropě. Cílem práce je vytvoření evidenčního a analytického systému zahrnujícího databázi a geografický informační systém. Pozornost je v práci zameřena na chronologický vývoj pohřebište, prostorovou analýzu (deskripci)archeologických nálezových celků, na vztah pohřebiště k několika kostrovýmhrobům na lokalitě a na sociální strukturu společnosti. Předložená práce má za úkol popsat zajímavé trendy zjištěné při analýze a podat nástin řešení perspektiv pohřebiště v Plotištích nad Labem do budoucna.

Abstract:

My work deals with a burial place from the Roman period, specifically from the beginning of the period of the Great Migrations in Plotište upon Labe(Královehradecký region). This burial of more than a thousand cremation graves andthree skeleton graves is a unique necropolis not only in our country but also in the whole of Central Europe. The aim of the work is to create a registration and analytical systems involving a database and geographical information systems. The work focuses on the chronological development of burial, the space analysis(description) of archaeological findings the collection, on the relation of burial to some of the skeleton graves, on the location and on the structure of society. The presented work will to describe interesting trends gained from the analysis and give a draft of the solutions for burial perspectives in the future in Plotište upon Labe.
