The influence of family upbringing and care on remedy of dyslalia in preschool children

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce si kladla za cíl prozkoumat možné vztahy mezi péčí v rodině, výchovným stylem a nápravou dyslalie u dětí v předškolním věku. Dalšími dílčími cíli bylo sledovat vztahy mezi zájmem rodičů o logopedickou intervenci a spoluprací s mateřskou školou, mezi zájmem o logopedickou intervenci ze strany rodičů a jejich vzděláním a současně jsme studovali případný vztah mezi postojem dítěte k logopedii a informovaností jeho rodiče o problematice dyslalie. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo celkem 39 respondentů (37 žen a 2 muži) ve věku 29–46 let (m = 35,92 let; sd = 4,009), u kterých byl zjišťován výchovný styl pomocí dotazníku The Parenting Scale (Arnold et al., 1993) a informace o dyslalii a spolupráci s mateřskou školou pomocí dotazníku vlastní konstrukce, jenž vznikl spojením dotazníku Adamusové (2014) a Nekudové (2020). Výsledky ukazují, že můžeme hovořit o vztahu mezi dimenzí výchovného stylu přehnanosti a rytmickou průpravou jakožto kategorií pro aktivity, které rodiče vykonávají s dětmi doma (r = 0,341; p < 0,05). Zároveň lze vyvozovat vztah mezi postojem dítěte k logopedii a informovaností rodičů o intervenci dyslalie (r = - 0,330; p = 0,040). Vzhledem k velikosti výzkumného vzorku nelze tyto výsledky zobecňovat, avšak mohou být cenným východiskem pro aplikační praxi.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to examine possible relationships between educational styles, parents’ care and the correction of dyslalia in preschool children. Other partial goals were to explore relationships between parents’ interest in speech therapeutic intervention and the collaboration with kindergarten, we also looked into possible relationship between parents’ interest in speech therapeutic intervention and their education and finally between child’s attitude towards speech therapy intervention (at speech therapist’s office and at home) and parents’ awareness of dyslalia. The research involved 39 participants (37 women and 2 men) at the age of 29–46 years old (m = 35,92 let; sd = 4,009). We examined their educational style toward the child using The Parenting Scale (Arnold et al., 1993). Parents were presented with the non-standardised questionnaire made from questionnaires from Adamusová (2014) and Nekudová (2020) about dyslalia correction and the cooperation with the kindergarten. The results showed that we can deduce the relationship between the educational style dimension of overreactivity and the rhythmic preparation, as one of the activity cathegories for home activities (r = 0,341; p < 0,05). At the same time we can deduce a relationship between child’s attitude to speech therapy intervention and parents’ awareness of dyslalia (r = - 0,330; p = 0,040). Given the size of the research file we cannot generalise these results but they can serve as a basis for practical purposes.
