Digitization of selected processes of physical protection of nuclear power plants

Abstract:

Oddělení fyzické ochrany spravuje přístupová práva různých osob do areálu jaderných elektráren a dohlíží na jejich dodržování. V současné době jsou však procesy tohoto oddělení založeny na formulářích v papírové podobě. To vede ke značné neefektivitě, zejména kvůli nutnosti manuálního zpracování a obtížnému třídění, vyhledávání a validace dat. V rámci této práce proběhla digitalizace vybraných procesů fyzické ochrany jaderných elektráren včetně jejich následné optimalizace. Práce obsahuje popis současného stavu, návrh digitalizace, implementaci pomocí platformy PowerFlow a otestování digitalizovaných procesů. Implementované řešení umožní efektivnější chod oddělení, menší chybovost dat a do budoucna také možnost analytického zpracování historických údajů.

Abstract:

The Physical Protection Department manages access rights of various persons into the nuclear power plant premises and supervises their obedience. However, processes at this department are based on paper forms nowadays. It leads to significant inefficiency, mainly due to the necessity of manual processing, and laboured sorting, searching and data validation. This thesis describes the digitalisation of selected processes regarding nuclear power plants' physical protection, including their further optimisation. It includes a~description of the current state, digitalisation design, implementation using the PowerFlow platform and testing of the digitalised processes. The implemented solution will enable effective operation of the department with fewer data errors and a~future possibility of analytical processing of historical data.
