The new musical tradition in Lysice - Concentus Moraviae

Abstract:

The first part of the bachelor thesis is focusing on the brief history of the town Lysice, its chateau and the theatrical and musical traditions, which were spread among the Moravian noblesse of the caste owner. For this purpose, they had the castle theatre, which unfortunately burned down in 1902 and the cultural life at Lysice Chateau ended. The second part of the theses is about new musical tradition of the 20th century called Concentus Moraviae: International Music Festival of 13 towns. I focused on the functioning of the festival, its finance and dramaturgy of individuals years. Worth mentioning are also other accompanying activities that are organized for visitors of the festival. The final part describes the cooperation between the festival Concentus Moraviae, town of Lysice and the Lysice Chateau. I have also included the concert program of individual years which took place in town Lysice. The goal of my thesis was to provide as much information as possible about the new musical tradition at Lysice Chateau. Concentus Moraviae enlarged the cultural life in this region and raised the people’s awareness about town and Lysice Chateau.

Abstract:

Prvá časť bakalárskej práce je venovaná stručnej histórii mestysa Lysice, zámku Lysice a divadelným a hudobným tradíciám, ktoré šírili medzi moravskú šľachtu majitelia zámku Lysice. Na tento účel im slúžilo zámocké divadlo, ktoré v roku 1902 vyhorelo. S ním skončil kultúrny život na lysickom zámku. Druhá časť práce sa zameriava na novú hudobnú tradíciu 20. storočia – Medzinárodný hudobný festival 13 miest Concentus Moraviae. Zamerala som sa na fungovanie festivalu, jeho financovanie, na dramaturgiu jednotlivých ročníkov. Za zmienku stoja aj ďalšie sprievodné aktivity, ktoré sú organizované pre milovníkov tohto festivalu. Záverečná časť popisuje spoluprácu medzi festivalom Concentus Moraviae, mestysom Lysice a zámkom Lysice. Súčasťou kapitoly je výber niektorých ročníkov, ktorých koncerty sa uskutočnili v Lysiciach. Cieľom tejto práce bolo poskytnúť čo najviac informácii o novej hudobnej tradícii na zámku Lysice. Festival Concentus Moraviae obohatil kultúrny život v regióne a zabezpečil zvýšenie povedomia o Lysiciach a zámku Lysice v očiach širokej verejnosti.
