Cílem práce je zasadit umělecký výkon do právního světa, tedy jeho právní zakotvení v české i mezinárodní úpravě a uvést ucelený výčet práv k uměleckému výkonu. Vedle charakteristiky uměleckého výkonu jako nehmotného statku a výkladu současné právní úpravy je vymezen jeho vztah k autorskému dílu a některé sporné výkony.
