Runoff conditions analysis of the Opava catchment with the GIS support

Abstract:

Hlavním úkolem této bakalářské práce je analýza odtokového poměru povodí Opavy s využitím GIS. První část je věnována vymezení povodí Opavy pomocí fyzicko-geografických podmínek. Je zde zmíněna geologická, geomorfologická, půdní, hydrologická a klimatická charakteristika, jakožto i rozložení krajinného pokryvu a výskyt zajímavých živočišných a rostlinných druhů. Druhá část se zabývá tématem geografických informačních systémů. Popisuje jejich funkci a využití v rámci této práce. Mapy vytvořené v programu ArcMap jsou součástí popisu fyzicko-geografických podmínek. Dále je zde vytvořena grafická analýza odtokových poměrů sledovaného povodí. V závěru je shrnuta práce s GIS a úspěšnost jejich využití při tvorbě geografických analýz. V přílohové části se nachází vlastní fotografie významných částí povodí Opavy.

Abstract:

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is the analysis of the drainage rate of the Opava river basin with the application of GIS. The first part is dedicated to the demarcation of the river basin Opava with the help of the physical geographical conditions. It mentions the geological, geomorphological, soil, hydrological and climatic characteristics together with the distribution of the cover of the landscape and the presence of interesting organisms. The second part concentrates on the topic of the geographical informational systems. It describes their function and usage within the work. The maps created in the ArcMap program are a part of the description of the physical geographical conditions. Moreover, a graphical analysis of the drainage rate of the investigated river basin was created. The conclusion contains a summary of the work with GIS and its success rate of their usage while creating geographical analyses. The supplement consists of photographs of the important parts of the Opava river basin.
